There are many awesome quotes to be found in poetry. It is indeed sad that too many of us don't take the time to read poetry and understand what it is saying.
"Trees" by Sgt. Joyce Kilmer is a lovely poem. Another of my favorites is "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley. I think this poem more than any other helps to illustrate what the Bible says about man returning to dust and his thoughts perishing.
